So far I am trying to get

SL2
EG5
T/D

What would be a last module I should throw in? Would it be useless to put a Bman in there if the T/D is going in there already? Recommend me one!

I am avoiding the Rectifier and C.O.D since my rack will already have a Mesa mark iv and Rectifier preamp in there.

Thanks!

Gotta vote for the VX

VX ChA gives you shimmery cleans (totally different flavor than the T side of the T/D), Ch B gives you buttery distortion - totally different feel than the other modules.

Cool! THanks for the suggestion, the only two modules I have had experience with is the SL2 and EG5 so far, but when I tried it they seemed kind of similar, I think I preferred the SL2 more, is EG5 the best for high gain so far?

After hearing some clips, looks like a VX is going in there

Just placed a order for all 4   I am impatient :)

VX is a good choice, though I would go Bassman!! I love that module.

I ordered mine with the Eg5 and VX. I plan to round it out with a Bman and I'm also on the fence about the 4th slot. I'm hoping I can try a COD+ when I go up there. I need a lead module so it's either that or an SL2 or an Eg3/4.

Good choice. BMAN is great, but the VX will be "more different" than the other mods you already listed.

+1 on the VX - I love mine, and I agree it will give you some different flavors from what you already have.

Out of the 4 modules in my M4, I spend about 40% of my live playing time on the vox.

Good to hear! Hopefully its exactly what I need for a truly versatile rig, I was looking for some versatility compared to everything else I own.

What's the wait time on your modules? The M4 will be there tommorrow

No clue, probably won't get them till next week. Jeff said they should be shipped out today   M4 is just going to be sitting there in the Rack untouched for a few days.

By the way, stil has the stock (Sovtek? EH?) 12at7/12ax7 in there..I messed with changing them up a little but didn't find anything I liked better.

I find myself using certain guitars with certain modules. Anyone else feel that way?? Just seems like certain guitars pair off with certain modules like they were made for each other. I have a McInturff Royal with vintage-style P-90s - that thing with Ch B of the VX are like yin and yang! I have a PRS loaded with Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB pickups and that thing eats up the T/D like there's no tomorrow - and of course it sound great with the EG3/4. Then my McInturff Taurus with vintage-style PAFs is the sure fire ticket with my SL.

Just mentioning that because we all say "What module should I get", but in a way it kind of depends on what guitars you are going to be playing through them, at least IME....

Thats the one thing I really like about the Egnater stuff, every guitar sounds very different through each module. When I had the MOD50 and used the SL2 with my strat it sounded so much different than my Suhr standard

Can't wait to try out the T/D module with my either my Deluxe Strat or the new Deluxe Tele I just ordered

Yup, you can really hear the differences between guitars much more with the Egnater stuff than you can with other amps. My previous amp was a VHT Pittbull - that is a great amp and I thought I would never find an amp that would make me part ways with it......until I found the Egnater. It's weird, but with the VHT and other amps I've had, the amp sort of takes control of the tone much more so than the Eggie. With the Eggie, it's like the guitar and amp both have equal input into what the sound is going to be, so switching guitars through the same module has a much more profound change to the tone than other amps I have played. It's very cool...with the Eggie, it was like getting not only a new amp, but in a way, I felt like my guitars were given a new breath of life as well.

All my guitars sound great with all the modules, but some just fit like a glove.

Thats one of the signs of a great amplifier. I totally agree that the MOD 50 lets the character of the guitar come through. Try that with a Crate.
