Hey Guys-

Not sure this has been asked recently. Can someone tell me which module would get me closest to a Deizel Einstein (3rd mode & Lead Channel)? I own both a Mod50 and an Einstein (with B'Man, SL2x and EG3/4). Both are great amps but you can't beat the Mod50 for gigging versatility

Thanks!

Would this get me closer than the EG5? Does this give the 3/4 more gain?

If you lived close,we could find out

Hi,

I just have the Einstein standing side by side with a M4/RT2/50 (EG3/4, EG5, SL, SL2x, COD,) and would say, a EG3/4 would bring you closest to Einstein's channel2 and 1mode3. Definately! SLx and EG5 won't do that job and I'm not quite sure, if an x mod would be the ticket.

Best wishes

Modded EG3/4 can do a great Diezel-ish impression for sure.

Thanks Ed- I've read that on the forum. But to my ears, the stock EG3/4 doesn't seem to offer as much gain as the Einstein (mode 3). I assume you're talking at lower gain settings on the Deizel (10:00/11:00)? I typically run the gain at 2:00 or so on Ch 1 mode 3.

The 3 side may perhaps not get there .but I am sure just like a dual twin or Deluxe .Jeff could probably build you the EG4/X in dual format.
Use A to hit the 3rd mode of the DZL ,and B as your more compressed singing lead channel..

Good luck

As you "x" mod the EG3/4, because of the extra high-end and upper mid crunch, the "percieved" gain increases. The "3" side can get WAY saturated...

Yep, after the X mod....the EG3/4 is very Diezel sounding. I even hear some Bogner in there as well - a little Shiva. Maybe the stock EG3/4 is closer to Shiva territory.

Just learn to play with less gain! Trust me, we play some heavy music and have had mosh pots going at shows...I never have the gain past noon on any module! The EG3/4, even stock has MORE than enough.
