Been playing my Mod50 a lot and just thought I'd share some of the tones I get from it. I just recorded it with my laptop and run it through a Redwires Ir. Each pair of modules have the knobs and switches set almost the same to demo the inherent difference of the modules when compared to each other. These are the modules in order:
Bman - It's supposed to be a clone of a Bassman and can get really dirty if you want to. It also has the ability to be fatter but for this demo I set the bright switch to 2 to get some string sparkle.
COD - Egnaters take on an early mesa mark series. It's smooth and creamy and has a lot of midrange cut and less bass. It's impossible to make it buzzy or sizzely.
Eg3/4 - An Egnater original circuit and is a high gain module but very dark and smooth. Reminds me a bit of the Bogner sound which also has this dark quality. It does have more low end if you want but now I tried to make it mimic the Bogner fish as used by Cantrell on Them Bones.
Erect - This one is set almost exactly the same as the previous module but has de recto signature low end and more aggressive high end. It kinda captures the style of Tabors mesa on Dogman but is not as scooped because I wanted to keep the EQ knobs set as the Eg3/4 to let you hear what each module sounds like.
The power section of the Mod50 has got a pair of Tung sol 6550s and the amp is biased kinda hot.
Are there others on the forum that play modules?
