Having so many tone options on the renegade I forgot all about the density and prescence knobs .. I was playing in practice with them all the way down...

I will have to try again with them up and see what kinds of tone difference there is ...

do many of you use these? im sure this will make a big difference in tone. ... ugh.. im slow. haha.

Pretty significant features...

The density changes the low end response. Adding more density loosens the low end creating more roundness, or woodiness to the tone in my opinion. I usually set it near 12 o'clock.

Presence adds top end sizzle. It makes things stand out a little more and adds high end bite. I set this anywhere from around 11-2 o'clock depending on the gig and the room.

You might find as volume goes up, you need to turn the density down a little as too much density at high volume can be tough on the speakers since it loosens the bottom end.

I tend to like them set higher as my volume drops. Lower as I get louder.

Your results may vary.

I find them pretty subtle on the Tourmaster. I keep them off at high volumes, up a bit at low. Should use them sparingly.

+1

my tourmaster density is touchy, the presence doesn't seem to do too much until around 5oclock, then it's really noticeable all the sudden. need a mod for that!

They are not an ear candy effect. Some sparkle on the high end and some fullness on the lows.
