#1. Is the depth control subtractive, or additive? Or Both?

#2. Compared to other amps that DONT have any sort of master depth control, where would a proverbial "neutral" setting be? Is it straight up at noon, or at full, or off?

Good question. I've always assumed "neutral" was having it turned off/all the way down.

all the way off is neutral

Get the heck outta here, really?

So the depth control is completely additive*?

(* is that the correct word to use? )

Yes. Bruce or Jeff can give the details, but:

all the way off = straight signal

as you turn it up, it introduces negative feedback voltage back into a spot in the circuit that is, in essence, multiplying the bass.

I might have said that completely wrong, but that's the gist of it.

knob off = like having no resonance knob

Veeeeeery interesting...

Man, I can't wait to go home and start tweaking. :D

Tweaking huh,Are you a crackhead?

i would have to agree

i have the depth knob almost completely off.

and the louder i play, i turn it off.

otherwise the low end loses definition.

great for single coils though!

Is this true of the Tourmaster's Density and Presence controls also- Strictly additive, full left is off? I think so but I am not sure.
