Did EVH Ever Really Use Sheffield Speakers w/ His OG 5150's?

Seems like a question that's been asked a million times already but I couldn't find any info on this topic using multiple searches. I mean, he had every bit of say in the design of the amp so why not the cab too, right?

I just noticed Peavey stopped making their 6505 cabs with V30's and went full r-tard on this whole 1992 reissue thing and now load their cabs with Sheffield 1230's instead of the 1200.

Sorry dudes. I know there's more than enough EVH threads on here already but I'm genuinely curious about this.

From what I’ve heard through internet stuff, he never did. I don’t have solid proof though nor have I seen proof of it.

I remember Kyle bull demoing the new sheffields and they sounded real nice actually.

Yep. I read a post on another forum, (I don't remember which one) where a guy wrote that he had been backstage with Ed's tech while he had one of Ed's cabs open and sure enough, the cab was loaded with Greenbacks.
