Hi,

i have a diesel thx.I am super happy with this amp, but i have some hum noise. My guitar is plugged direkt into the amp.

Hear you can listen to it:

I tried different cables, different guitars, Morley hum eliminator, etc. but no success.

Maybe someone has an idea?

Please remove the guitar cable and check if the noise is still there.
Thank you

Hi Leo,

if i remove the cable, the amp is silent. If there is no guitar conected with the cable, it is also silent, but if i conect any of my guitars the noise is back,

Ok so that could mean that there may be something external to the amp.

This means that the hum should disappear if you roll back the guitar volume too, is that right?

Is there a neon light nearby?
Are you playing with the guitar too close to the amp?
Is the mains plug hearted (maybe you can try another mains cable)?
Is the noise there also with other amps and same cables/guitar?

If the issue is with the amp it may be a bad V1, but the clip sounds more like something external to it so I would check the tube last.

Thank you

Hi Leo,

thanks for your help. The big part of the problem was that the channel volume was set too high. i had changed the channel volumes to about 50 (before it was 70 to 95, depends on presets), the problem is nearly solved. The hum i can hear now is the most of what you said like to close too amp, light, pc monitor, etc.

Thank you
