Are there any US dealers now? If not, how does one go about getting one?

"Technically" I don't think there are any "real" US dealers. Some stores may still have stock or be able to order them through Europe distributors or straight from Diezel. Or, I'm sure you can get one by contacting one of The Peters.

Lot of good deals here on used ones and on Ebay some stores have new amps for sale.

Call or E-mail Peter Stapfer directly. If you don't buy direct from Diezel, he can tell you where in the US to go.

You'll get the answers as to where to buy one, that's not the question. What we're dying to know is which one are ya gonna buy?? :D

Amp Shop in Sherman oaks ca carries them and wildwest guitars in riverside ca can get them too...

Actually, I asked about that a couple of months ago, and they told me they are no longer Diezel dealers.

just Engl, Orange, Framus, Bogner it seems like now.
No Diezel at the Amp Shop anymore.

The VH4 appears to be what would be for me. I do 2 different cover bands - all rock/pop stuff so I'd like to have a few different gain structures - 4 would be cool :D

So I guess I'd need to order from Germany....ya?

mmm...go for them ALL!!!

Still have the vh4s for now....had alot of guys interested in buying it and then flake out on me at the last minute. Man the longer i keep that thing the less i want to sell it, it really is an awesome amp. I do have to say that so far i prefer the herbert though. The cleans are great, the 2+ is really increadible (i prefer it without the mid-cut) and the lead is exactly what you expect. I don't hear too many people rave about the 2- sound, but i have to say that it really is a great modern crunch sound, and i prefer it to the channel 2 of the vh4s for sure....only bummer is that it's not footswitchable, but i can't imagine needing to switch between 2-/2+ in the same song anyways so no big deal. You really can't go wrong with either amp.

Well, if you ever think about abandoning the 4S, hook up two cabs and throw a decent delay into the mix... Always blows my mind!! I'm still chin-scratching about the Herbster, maybe down the road, but sonically, I've got all my bases currently covered. I bought a new 20thA and cab a little while ago, and that along with my current '09 4S is just candy. But as with all things GAS - one always has that sneeking wonderment about the "amp on the other side of the fence"

Peace Good Sir, give us a real review of the Herbert when you can!!
