Yo Cats,

Any fellow Vancouverites know of a reputable tech in the 'shitty' (heh heh), sorry, CITY who can be trusted to do some relatively rudimentary amp work (ie soldering, some components, etc)...?? ;)

There's this one cat on Commercial, Asian fellow, can't remember his name for the life of me but he tends to a lot of the big groups who comes through the area... Supposed to really know his shiznit. Any help - totally appreciated

THANKS!!
V.

Nothing serious whatsoever, but I'm visiting Vancouver right now as my wife and I are expecting are 2nd baby... Long story short, I don't have my shit with me to get a few simple tasks done. I do have my V and it needs bias, a new trim pot installed, and that's it. But I ain't going to blow cake on a new soldering iron, and a new multimeter just to get this done.

See what I'm saying? Home is 3 hours away.

Peace,
V.

FYI - to those needing anything in YVR...

Ho's Electronics on Kingsway. Hard to understand this lil' Asian fella, but he's good at what he does, loves tube amps, and judging from the wall of rockstar photos and autographs in his modest lil' shop, he's seen some serious work on his bench.

Backline Musician Services. Long wait for simple work, they're a multi faceted business - bigger than Ho.

Ho did good work. I'd go there again - he also really tries to tempt you into test-driving his home-made attenuators, mod-boxes, tone-boosters, etc. Knows his sh!t.

Peace,
V.
