I am currently on tour in Europe working for Godforbid. As I was walking through the VIP area I noticed a tent that said Diezel on it. Lo and behold inside the tent was Peter Stapfler with the entire Diezel line.

Peter was amazingly friendly and helpful, a real pleasure to talk to! We talked for a while a few times per day, i just wouldnt leave him alone.

There was a new cabinet made of birch with tone tubby ceramic speakers that was absolutely killer, rear loaded i believe, we compared it against the other new cab and I have to say it was crushing it! a must have! aaaah GAS!

Welllllll goood! I'd love to have seen the guys/gear. I was just there for Friday. Lucky you!

I was down there all weekend in the same ''warm up tent'' as Diezel , i have some shots of Artists playing through them , il post them later

I'd be interested to see those pics. Diezel took my v30 cab to download before I got it (with my permission), I wonder if anyone cool played through it?

Well there were alot of bands checking the stuff out so quite probably

Where was the VIP area? Wish I'd have known though I don't think I'd have been allowed in there.

He Moltanmetalburn and Soundsgreatmusic, it was a pleasure talking to you at Download. I´m sorry that I missed you Sam.
I was on stage when Korn played and I was FOH when Journey played. Most impressive new band was Devil Driver on main stage!
I must say, Neil Schon´s guitar playing made me cry  ! He´s my personal hero (not only at Download 2009).
I had only a minute to talk to Neil and introduce myself.
Ailean, Jim Roots and Jeff from Devil Drivers played through your cabinet  !
I think a lot of artists have been quite surprised when they played the birch cabinet with the ceramic tone tubby (rearloaded).
I´ll definitely be there next year. This festival is worth a trip for everybody!
Thanks to James Leader (Diezel UK) who organizes this year after year. It´s a lot of unpaid work to make this happen!!!!

Cool! Thanks Peter!

If I'd have known you were in the VIP area I'd have asked you get get me some signatures on it!

:D

I hope you get some positive reward for your efforts! (And James of course)

Rich.

Hmm, maybe that's what I heard when I was doing the Dream Theater meet and greet? I heard some shredding going on and presumed it was someone in a band warming up. Maybe it was the Diezel booth.

James probably enjoyed himself plenty... He likes talking about gear... and talking in general! :D
