Hi everyone,

I am new on here having just got myself the Diezel Einstein combo. Needless to say its as good as people say it is. To me it sounds like a hot rodded AC30. Simply awesome.

I am keen to get the channel 1 mod done and sent this link to a tech.

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24857&hilit=einstein+mod

Not sure why but on both our computres neither he or me can see the image that shows the schematics of the pedal(we can see the pictures below showing the wiring) . Could someone repost that pic or send it to me?

Many thanks,

Alex

For the pedal you can use a typical marshall style 2 button footswitch with or without LEDs. Worked perfectly for me in my '06 100w head anyways. You just need to know that one switch goes from clean to dirty and the other one (when on dirty) goes from crunch (Texas) to mega. I'm pretty sure Olaf's pedal had 3 buttons (one for each mode). So it'd be cool to fix the thread, but I almost prefer the 2 button method since the amp already has plenty other footswitches (channel/ volume / reverb in your case). LED footswitch is helpful though.

Good luck!

I helped develope a 4 button with 5 LED footswitch that you can find being sold on ebay. There are two sizes and what's nice is you can see what mode on channel one you are in and directly switch to mode 3 (mega) as well. It also includes master control and channel two switching & LED's for everything. I tried to think thru it and to me it works really well. It is available in two sizes, I would suggest the larger size as the foot switches are awfully close on the smaller one although I used it for quite some time before buying the larger one. I don't see the lager one currently listed but contact the seller if you're interested.

Masse = Ground

You need two Takamisawa bistabil (sp?) relays, three switches- and somehow a power supply. Without LEDs it works well with a 9V battery (just add one resistor before the switches (9-5)V/0.04A=100 Ohm or so and your fine.

Since those relays are double sided, you can use the other side (not shown) to switch two LEDs - add a 1k in front of each LED and I would suggest to use a 9V jack feeded from a standard Boss thing.

Thanks everyone for your quick and helpful input i will be sending this thread to the tech today and hopefully thats all he'll need.

This is the footswitch I use with my Mod'd Einstein. Works great, no problems.

Hi Everyone,

My tech has done the mod in the amp which is working fine but is having trouble with the pedal. He said it would help if I could get the exact reference/serial number of the relay.
Further down the line i will probably look to get that larger switching pedal which is on ebay but need something for this weekend.

Thanks,

Alex

Great thanks again for all your help. Pedal and mod are working very well together. I found that setting the gain at about 11.00 and the volume at about 10.00 allows you to switch between the 3 modes with only a gradual increase in volume as you through from 1-3
This setup doesn't give you a mega amount of gain on modes 2 and 3 so using a Sex Drive and a Dumkudo for when i need a bit more.

Hi there !!!

This is my first post so ... there it goes !!

I´m the proud owner of a 50 w. Einstein head, always used in studio but I want to take it to my gigs.

I need that footswitch that some of you built, and my question is:

Is there any possibility of publish some pictures of the guts of the pedal built? I mean, all the circuit mounted, etc.
I´ve got some electronic basics, but I am a bit confused at time of put some LEDS on the circuit to know wich mode is active at any time.

Do I need separated power for footswitch an leds? two 9v. batteries?

Thanks for your help in advance !!!
:)

Yes, batteries or a power supply jack for those 9V Boss things . . .

Payne-labs k-switch works wonders if you want midi controlLed einey/ch 1 mod.

Does anybody have the schematic for the DIY-pedal? Can´t seem to find it anywhere.
Or if anybody knows of a 3-button footswitch that will work with the channel 1 mod that would be even better, thanks!
