Just become a happy owner of second had 50W diezel einstein combo and really love it. Unfortunately last time while playing it started to omit really strong component melt odor although the sound was not affected. I powered her down and but the burned smell filled the house

Electronics is really not part of my skillset but today I opened her up and it looks like one of the resistors has melted.

Please help me get my amp back to life!!

Hello,

the V7 (reverb tube) went South and destoyed resistor R65 and capacitor C33 in the process. The reverb tube should be a 12AT7. I could send you the tube, the resistor and cap. Do you have a technician? If you live in the LA area I can replace the parts.

Please email me.

Kind regards,

Jens Kruse

Hi Jens,

Thanks for your answer, you rock!! I have a friend who is able to get this done with your instructions.

Since you are in Finland, please order the parts from Peter. Email him at peterdiezel(at)diezelamplification(dot)com . Peter knows about it already.

Cheers, Jens

My Einstein is now back in business, thanks again for your excellent customer care!! One can only wish that other companies would offer this type of service. I never get any help from Mr. Benz when I have car trouble :)

My Einstein Combo has began to smell like burning plastic. I opened it up, but could not see any problems. The reverb stopped working as well. Is this a known issue? Thanks!
