Diezel Einstein - fuzzy distortion, untight / defect?

Hi,

I got a Diezel Einstein that I purchased used recently and it somehow has kind of a fuzzy character when distorted. I only get it tight if I boost with SD-1 or Tube Screamer, no matter using channel 2 or 1/mode 3. So my question is if it’s normal behavior of the amp? My Marshall 205H and my Framus Cobra are tight as expected, though I also like to boost them. In the Einstein I tried new tubes (JJ ECC83s, JJ EL34), I measured and adjusted bias with Bias Master (about 32mA/tube in the socket) and also with a DMM at the measure points on the back (65mA/pair). Plate voltage is 463V. What I also notice, the Einstein gets very hot, especially on the back and has more hum than my other amps. Maybe someone has experiences and yes, I heared of amps that get hotter - maybe it's normal ;-) But primarily I’m not sure about the sound since Diezel has the reputation of being tight, smooth and clear in distortion, not untight, muddy and fuzzy. Maybe it has some kind of a defect?

Thanks! ...and finally happy to be here (already silent reader for a while :) )
