Alright, I remember I had a few PM chats with fellow forumite Neuro about using the Einstein with a Midi setup. He's running his with a Ground Control Pro and GCX Guitar Audio Switcher... it'd be nice if anyone else, (you too Neuro) post your methods of getting the Einstein to work as a Midi system (for effects AND channel/modes switching)

I think I'll keep my Einstein and get this done so I can have my Einstein Midi-ready

I think you'll have to use three of the speaker outs and rewire them to the mod switch. After that, you just use a switcher like the GCX or Axess Electronics CFX4.

No secrets to it but the wiring of the mod switch.

There was an Einstein on Germany's ebay a few weeks ago that had a custom built footswitch that switched the channels, modes and masters. But the fx loops are still permanently on, which keeps me from buying an Einstein. And the hassle with the upgrade.

I didn't like to sacrifice one of the speaker outs, but I saw, that there's already another hole in the chassis besides the footswitch jacks.
So I drilled a hole into the blending (this hurts, but I did it...), and put another stereojack in.
Connect it to 3-way switch, and you have the modes switchable. Just make sure to use heatresistant (silicone) cables, because the EInstein gets really hot inside!
I use the Nobels MS4 midiswitcher, which works well with the TC Novasystem. I can assign channel, master and mode to every preset on the Nova.
If you want the fx loop to be switchable, you need another midi looper.

cheers
Chris

Is there actually a chance to switch the loops? Or one at least? I mean, if there's no switch on the amp that you could make remote controllable, how would you do that? That meant considerably more soldering to create a hardware bypass for the loop(s), right?
Or did I miss anything? Enlighten us!
