Greetings,

I'm from Augsburg, Germany and since a few weeks I'm searching for a new amp.
I've allready tried a few, like the ENGL Fire- and Powerball, Laboga Alligator, Mesa Boogie Stiletto and Dual Rectifier.
We used the Einstein of a friend of mine for our demo recordings and I was absolutely fascinated by it.
So I choose that I might buy one myself sometimes.

The problem is:
Something inside of me refuses to spend that much money for an amp that I didn't play before. Even if I've allready played my set on the Einstein in the past, I want to compare it to other amps in some sort of 1on1 situation.

The real problem is:
Most of the shops in and around Augsburg (f.e. Music World (Augsburg), Station Music (Jettingen-Scheppach)) haven't got the Einstein in stock.
Same thing for online shops like Thomann, Musik-Schmidt, Music-Store, Musik-Produktiv.

So what I basically wanted to know is: why is the Einstein out of stock in so many online shops and where nearby Augsburg could I find one (''offline'') to compare it to others?

Another question would be the following:
When I searched the internet, I found several offers of second-hand Einsteins. I was a little sceptical because I was told that Peter Diezel grants livelong guarantee for his Amps, which is just awesome.
Could anybody tell me, if I get the same support for an Einstein if I bought it second hand?

Maybe some of you would also have a good time listening to the stuff we recorded with the Einstein and want to give feedback or tell me about other amps that would sound good for us. You could listen to our music at https://www.myspace.com/aminorityreports
Second Guitar is plugged to the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

Thank you very much for your support!

Kaspar

There is no warranty for used amps. I just bought a used Einstein and I am not to worried about anything going wrong. They are built to last!!

Hi Ralf!
Warum nicht direkt die Quelle fragen!
Du kannst meinen gerne mal zu ner Bandprobe ausleihen, wenn du magst!
Schreib mir einfach auf facebook ne nachricht!
Grüße,
Stefan

Hi Ralf!
I'm from Augsburg, Germany! You can try mine if you want!
I'm usually not a big fan of trying amps in stores. Yeah, you can compare the amps but usually they start giving you angry looks as soon as you want to plug into more then two amps (especially if they are expensive), at least in my experience.
Of course, most of the time, this is the only way to try out a new amp!
Still, I think you can explore an amp much better in a real world scenario like a rehearsal. Your pal Christoph has an Dual rec you can compare it to and you really need to know if it works well and feels good together with your other instruments.

Best,
Stefan

You know that Diezel Sales and Distribution is in Dillingen. Maybe Peter S. can help
you and is only 35-40 km away.

It probably out of stock as it sounds so damn good. ;)

Please do not take offense to this reply, as it is not meant to be offensive.

Just as amps made outside of a country usually cost more, amps made inside a country usually cost a bit less. You are so fortunate to live in the country of the best amps made on this planet. As stated above, Einsteins are probably hard to find in stores as they have become extremely popular and so well thought of in music circles. Remember that you get what you pay for when quality is part of the equation. To skimp now on an amp, will only cost you more later. It is actually far less trouble and expense to buy quality at the beginning. In the end, you most always are farther ahead of the gear-buying game.

At least you did get to play through an Einstein.
I have purchased every model Diezel amp without seeing or playing any of them.
I have never been let down, and always happy that I chose Diezel.
If I lived in Germany, I would take some time to go to the shops that have other amps you are interested in, play the amps, and then drive directly to Bad Steben, with cash-in-hand, if you choose Diezel, which should be the obvious end result.
A better experience could not be had.

C-4 should know. He's been a Diezel user for what, 11 years now ?

When is the Diezel C-4 SR Model coming out. :D

Hehe, I've been playing Diezel since first finding out about them in 2002.
Had I known about them earlier, I would be playing them longer by now, but thank you for the compliment. That is very nice of you, Mark2C.

I believe Peter has given me everything I could imagine in my amps. I'm really loving the Schmidt as much as every other Diezel. Due to my lower volume requirements in clubs, I am able to wind it up near the top for 30 watts.

Maybe when I die (looks at watch), Peter might re-name the Schmidt.

Another Augsburger here!

All right, if you guys want to meet to check Amps i'd come there to bring a Schmidt if one of you guys is interested - also if there would be any interest in visiting one of our Peters i'd be happy to join, share the gas (as well as the GAS :D ), some Music and bring home some cabs
