have a problem with my einstein 100w amp when i switch it on it plays fine then after about a minute of playing one of the power amp tubes lights up like a light bulb(overheats) and the amp stops working and just makes a humming noise, just wondering if it would just be a faulty tube or maybe something else like the fuses.

anyway any help or advice would be much appreciated

cheers jamie

Bad power tube(s). Do not run it without replacment set of tubes (at least that pair) and resetting the bias voltages. What you are seeing is "redplating" and could lead to a short in the output tube. Fuses are there to protect the amp & it doean't sound like you had one blow but you can pick up some spares at Radio Shack etc just in case. Good luck...
