Hey guys, sup, I recorded this short clip today.

Rig used:

Guitar: Fender Strat with EMG S/S/85 system (two single coils and 85 HB)
Amp: Diezel Einstein 50watt head
Cab: Framus 2x12 v30s.
Interface: Metric Halo ULN-2
Mic: SM57
Computer: Black MacBook 2.0.
Drums: EZdrummer
Bass: No bass

Only one rythm guitar and one solo (no overdubs)...a little reverb/compression/soft EQing added.

It's a short clip, I'll record the whole song later on and publish the final thing

Don't mind the playing since the solo is totally improvised....pay attention to the tone more than anything.

The one that says Diezel Einstein Short Clip. :thu:

thanks Olaf.

you know, I think I don't like this amp with V30s :S I find them harsh sounding...I had to move the mic TOO MUCH to get a tone I like.

The knobs were extremely WEIRD! This was channel 1 mode 3 (solo is ch2) and on BOTH chs the Mid knob was set to 8:00 and 8:30!

my settings for this clip:

Ch1 mode 3:

Gain: 4:00
Volume 11:00
Treble: 1:30
Mid: 8:00
Bass: 2:00
Presence: 12:00
Deep: 9:00

Ch.2:

Gain: 2:30
Volume: 11:00
Treble: 1:00
Mid: 8:30
Bass: 1:30
Pres: 12:00
Deep: 9:00

Very weird settings, but again, it's not how then knobs look, but how they sound, right? hehe

You need to crank V30s more to get a good sound - or use a different mic like a Studio Projects or something.

the thing is here I can't crank it more :S at least not here (home)

What speaker do you recommend me? I want something more "smooth" and less "harsh" :S

yeah, It's EZdrummer (the regular one, not the DKFH expansion)

With the Einstien or VH4, I'd definately go with Greenbacks. Herbert sounds best with G12-65's.

Hey dude, cabn you post a clip up or something with flat controls (including gain) on the lead channel? Been trying to find some non heavy clips or some with some mids pushed in. Help?

Sure.....give me a few days.

can you give me an idea of what you want? (name an artist whos tone you like, etc etc) so I can have it aas a reference point.

Guthrie govan (cornford), andy timmons (lonestar), maybe like slash's oldschool sound. Something smooth with good amount of mids and not SO much gain.

Im also interested in hearing mode 2 (ch.1) with eq flat but higher gain.

It would be greatly appreciated, and thank you very much.
