Hello guys,
i am ecstatic. I unpacked my new Einstein 100 Watt amp head for about 2 hours ago and played............
Man..... i just lack words. I rembered that amp being "the shit" from trying it in a store for about a year ago. At that time i tried the combo and it floored every other amp i played there.
So now i played the amp at "bedroom level" with my axes: Ibanez JS1, Ibanez Jem FP, Ibanez AT300 and a Fender YJM.
What can i say. I can`t absolutely imagine of a better amp than this one. For me there is every desireable tone in that little wonder. Responds terrific dependend on which guitar you play with it. You want Malmsteen. Take a Fender YJM and you are there, want Satch, Vai, Bonamssa,SRV, Timmons no problem. And that thing has that violinesque fat tone with tons of sustain. Vais Hands on heart right out of the box.
I played a lot of other amps out there from Mesas, Cornfords, Bogners, Marshalls,Engls, Elmwoods, and more.
I have a Peavey JSX which is a nice amp, no disregard Joe- but the Peavey is absolutely no match for the Einstein. So what more to say. The clean, yeah, just wonderful.
I have a Ramirez Elite 1a classical guitar which costs a shitload of money. When you compare what you pay for a little tonal upgrade from a good classical guitar to a high end concert guitar you can confidently say that the Einstein is a gift. So if you are on the verge of buying an Einstein- don`t hesitate. It is that good.
Best regards Andy
By the way shall download some stuff as soon as i have gotten my interface.
And Peter you ARE a GENIUS :worship: :worship:

That´s good to hear when I´m sometimes stressed

I told you so Xman!

Yep!! By the way did you manage to get access to the John Mayer stuff in the link i gave you?
Best wishes Andy

oh, thank you for posting that, I couldn't BUT I've seen it in youtube (the whole thing) a fan recordered it

MAyer rules man!

The Einstein is just beyond amazing. Seriously, I love mine so much. Agreed with everything you said and more. The thing is so much damn fun to play it's untrue.

The Einstein is indeed a wonderful amp. I absolutely love mine. That fun, addictive feel you get from it also comes along with the Schmidt...another amp that is just insane.

The Einstein is so beyond my JSX that it blows it right out of the water and up to the moon. Sorry, sorry i don`t want to bash the JSX. It really is a wounderful amp. But its like comparing a Golf to a Ferrari. Will sell the JSX and hopefully get the chance to try the Schmidt soon. Read by the way that Joe Bonamassa has taken a Bogner XTC in his main Rig. Seriously somebody should give him a hint about Diezel amps. :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

hehehe, you know I've come to the conclusion that Diezels are not for everyone you know.

It's not like Mesa and Marshall that almost everyone can identify with one of their models and or tones.

Diezels have that amazing tone that sometimes people cannot get along with. And that's fine by me because it's a bit more exclusive.

I'm REALLY happy with both my Diezels. Still need to get the Vh4 back from Peter, and check out the "updated version" but I'm sure I'll like it even better!

Ahhhhhhh.........but you see, Diezel's are for everyone. The problem is not everybody knows this yet. There are so many tones available in any Diezel that there really is little if any need for anything else....My opinion of course.

Hei Joey and Terry,
i can`t absolutely think of another reason not to like the Diezel tone than prejudice. The first thing i recognized when plugging in the different guitars was that the tone of my guitars shines through. I really can nail Malmsteen through this amp with the Fender Strat YJM. The same goes for my other guitars. So no problem either to nail Satch, Vai or Timmons with the corresponding guitars. (Don`t even need my Satchurator and DOD YJM 308 pedals). Have never experienced such a responsiveness to different guitars with an amp before. Besides that there are so much tones in that box..........
And by the way this amp really works extremly well at bedroom levels, also here the Einstein is classes above the JSX which excelles compared to a lot of other amps (Plexis, Boogies and the like). And don`t worry i really turned the amp on until the walls began to shake- the louder it gets the better it gets- but definitely EXTREMELY well working amp for bedroom levels.
Conclusion: I cannot find a week point
Have played on and of the last 30 years, and quite intensively the last 5 years. Have invested a shitload of money on gear but this was by far my best investment. Its a no brainer to me....... if you don`t sound good through this amp you cannot play. And by the way the cab i am playing through is a Bogner oversized 2x12.
Best wishes Andy

Throw a hemp cone Diezel 2x12 in the mix and be even more impressed. I am happy that you are completely satisfied with your Diezel Einstein Amplifier. The amp is amazing to say the least and I am thrilled that you are experiencing this. May your creative musical desires be ignited with this amplifier and we hope it is a tremendous weapon for this.

Thanks a lot Terry,
yeah will see if i get the chance to tests the hemp cones some day. Would be a good supplement to an eventual Schmidt sometime in the future. As far is my GAS is concerned i am really cured at the moment. Now there is just one thing to do: Practice and play. Can hopefuly contribute with some sound/videoclips in the near future.
Best wishes Andy
