Pickups and amps don't matter according to Fricker though, so why would he care about gut shots of a nice amp?

He would tell you to just buy his SPECTRE SOUND IRs and use a plug in with your MIC pickups (because they don't matter and make a difference either) by the way this post is brought to you by distrokid
