Diezel Herbert #58 - how much is it worth?

HOWDY!
So i recently decided to possibly get a Diezel Herbert, (have also been considering an Engl SE 670), and found one locally that someone is selling for $3400 with a Diezel 412 cab.
I just spoke with the seller and he told me it was #58, and that the head was kept in a hard case, but the cab was a bit scratched up from use.

so the first question is, is $3400.00 a fair price for this deal, even though the head and cab are so old? I think he told me he bought the head in 2004. Does that sound about right for #58?

and i know these have been updated since then, but has anything been changed to the tone, or has it just been Bias points, etc...?

can an older head be updated with the newest enhancements?

Should i try to get him down a bit lower, or just skip this deal?

If this is off of the L.A Craigslist, I've talked to these guys pretty extensively.

Not a bad deal at all, if you don't mind not having the external bias points.

Not what I'm looking for, but a fair price for a great amp and cab.

Pretty sure it's the 58th head from that batch, not the 58th ever made, and I'm sure the spec's can be brought current, if that's what you'd like.

You'd be hard pressed to find better customer service than Diezel and Co.

Take a look. I didn't get (at least from our conversations) that there was anything at all wrong with the head.
