Diezel Herbert and attenuators

Does anyone know Do Diezel recommend any particular attenuator for use with the Herbert
 
I mailed Peter Stapfer about this a year or so ago. While Diezel don't recommend a particular brand or type of attenuator, he did say that he had run a Diezel through a THD hotplate with decent results.

I looked at the Alex Attenuator for a while. Couldn't justify the purchase, but they get great reviews.
