Hi Guy's, Can any single coil guy's give me there view's on Herbert's and Strat's....
I am keen to get a Herbert and would like to hear their thought's either way.
From what i have herd so far, the Herbert sound's like an absolute beast.

I love my S/S/S strat with my Herbert. I mainly use Channel 1 and Channel 3 with it. Channel 1 sounds snappy/poppy clean. Channel 3 sounds nice and fat for soloing. With or without mid-cut. Channel 2 is a little bright for me with the strat. Keep in mind, I have mine dailed in for my humbucker guitars that I play most of the time. If I only played strats, I would probably dial Channel 2 in for a Texas blues tone. I have Duncan Antiquity Texas Hots in my strat.

I've been a Les Paul guy for many years and always will be. However, since I purchased my Herbert and Einstein, I have almost exclusively played my S/S/S American Deluxe Strat with them. It's not that my Pauls sound bad or anything, it's just that the Diezel's sound so good with the Strat that it's opened up a new world for me tonewise. All those great Strat tones on records are easily attainable with the Herbert or Einstein, all without the need for insane volumes!

I've alway's owned a Strat but rarely ever used it before I got the Diezel amps. I could never get the right kind of sound & sustain I was looking for and there was always something missing if that makes any sense?

Anyway, if you're already a Fender guy, then you should absolutely love the sound of them through the Herbert! :m17:

peace,
-d
