Hey Folks,
I have a Diezel Herbert with 6 x EL34 SED "C". Also, it has V1 (NOS Mazda), V2 (NOS Amperex Bugle Boy), V3 (NOS Mullard), V4 and V5 (NOS RCA), V6 (NOS Mullard).
I just love it this configuration, but I'm always looking for something "better".
I know that NOS Tubes are very expensive, but they last long and the tone is to die for, so everyone judge them if worth or not the extra cash.
I'm just wondering if any Herbert's owners or even another Diezel's Model uses NOS Tubes in the power and preamp section......Please guys, let me know, I'd like some tips from you.

I tried a RFT in v1 (or v2 for channel 3) and it's awesome, but even with chinesse 9th generation it's awesome !! maybe if I recorded it i could notice a difference

Thanks for the reply.
I noticed a good difference replacing the stock tubes for NOS Tubes. Less noise, more tone (Mullard and Mazda add more bite and crunchy in Channel 2 and 3).
Unfortunately, I don't have experience with NOS Power Tubes.

As far as I know... only Larry Grohman puts NOS Power Tubes in his amps... I don't know what Peter thinks about 'em, but the master says Winged "C" El34 so... :D

I talked with Peter and he said doesn't have much experience with NOS Tubes.
I guess I will pull the trigger in NOS Power Tubes. I have a good deal with Mullard XF4.
I have some experience with preamp tubes (only excellent). They last long (sometimes 10x), less overall noise and the tone is much better at least for my ears.

Come on folks, any thoughts?
Let's spend some cash in NOS Tubes.... :D

I´m sure there are a lot of good NOS tubes with great
sound and quality but I need also a big stock of tubes
which should be available every time. I checked a lot
of power tubes during the last two years and can
recommend the EL34BHT and 6L6JJ soundwise for
my taste. Stock them and You will have it as NOS
after 5 years :D
