Diezel Herbert with the Boss GT-10 Vid review up!!

Sean, great video and again, thanks for taking the time.
Picked up the GT10 this past weekend and have been messin' with the functionality all weekend - amazing tones.

Didn't see any "flashing" store lights on the Herbert in your vid, as noted in this thread http://bossgtcentral.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18900

But also noted that a fellow Rig-talker had the same "store light" flashing/pulsing issue in this thread viewtopic.php?f=14&t=32391

Any issues of note in terms of unnecessary noise or flashing using the GT10 with Herbert? (I know you're moving away from the Herbert for a VH4 mono).
thanks!

Hi
The flashing is very faint, but it's audible as soon as you raise the master volume up more than raising the channel preamp volume.

Also if you're using a MIDI controller than has an expression built in - there's a lot of crackling when you use the exp pedal (ie. FCB1010). No issues changing patches with it, though.

I and other are waiting for an answer from Peter. Maybe there's an update to the MIDI chip firmware? I don't know...

DB, I was playing with the GT10 and the Herbert for about 5 hours today. Same exact issue you've described - faint flashing and a clipping tone at low volume.

GT10 or the Herbert? I'm thinking it's the amp, as I have NONE of the above issues with the VH4.

Anyone with a G-force or other MIDI-able device care to chime in?

No understand, expend a lot of money ( but no expend time to play better? )

This is not the first case, usually its normal at this time...

This is the new life?, consume, consume and nothing more?

Where is the creativity?

Anyway, beautiful things.

Thank you for sharing with us.

I write my own songs, that I LIKE to hear and my band. To each is own.. Just go to my myspace below. You can hear the creativity even though it may not be your bag.

Edit, I just listened to your songs..........totally opposite of what I write. So is that stuff supposed to be creative?

Same thing, no issues with the Vh4 or Vh4S. I had G-Major a while ago with the Vh4 and no issues. I had G-Force but never used it with the deetzul. I had a boogie rack I made :)

To me it sounds very creative, and I'm impressed by the quality of the homerecording sound. Why do you doubt his creativity? This might not be your bag, but this guy really rocks.
Just my opinion of course.

Really you dont know what is the -/+ from Herbert?

This is your problem, dont waste your time in you.

Maybe you not are for the music life.

You need discipline.

Good luck.

PD: the first post is a reflexion, you must be reflexive for your self and dont angry, if not, you are a poor person.

Does it matter to you? Does it affect your life in any way, shape or form? Hopefully not. If you don't dig someone elses music, that's fine, but I don't see the need to get personal.

Sean is doing HIS thing, with the amps HE loves. End of story.

You do understand that this guys primary language is not english, right? Maybe give him the benefit of the doubt? How about that?

Also, Sean pretty much dug that hole for himself when he said that the Herbert was not for him because the sound it makes is not that much different from the VH4...without him even understanding the +/- thingy on the Herbert. That's not a good way to form your opinion on this amp...let alone review it...

Sean, I've read your posts' & watched your video's on youtube & I think your a really good-hearted dude with the best of intentions.....However, scottph's quote pretty much sums up the "HC-type negative energy that has polluted this thread"!

In other words, your gonna get a "Ball-Bustin" for Gassin' through a Herbert & then posting a WTF was the +/-?

Where I come from this is called a: "Party Foul"! :cheers2:

Peace Brotha! ;)

Yep, I understood that perfectly, but the negativity in the post comes through irrespective of language. He was clearly stating that Sean should practice more, spends too much on gear for his level of ability, and that his songs sucked.....I got it. No benefit of the doubt needed, because there's no doubt.

How about that?

For what it's worth, I laughed my ass off that he never flipped the +/- switch on the Herbert, but I don't think he ever "reviewed" the amp in any negative light. He liked the VH4 better, no big deal. Who gives a shit?

Nobody's business what amp he likes better, or how much money he spends. He's not hurting anyone.
