Hi! Here`s a song by my band that i think sounds pretty good. The main guitars are played with a Diezel Herbert and a Bogner 2x12 cab. I think it displays a property that i absolutely love about the Herbert: It`s ability to react as a very hi-gain sound (lots of overtones, lots of cabinet "thump") while still sounding very "classic". It´s channel 2 in hi-gain mode. The verse guitar is a Matamp First Lady and the solo is a 65amps Soho:

Hope someone enjoys it!

And while were at it: There are many guitar-heroes but only ONE TRUE GOD: Angus Young! Amen..
Cool....thanks for the link. Will download and slap it on the Ipod.

And yeah.......Angus rules!! :D

I'll have to say, that's a pretty cool track. There's just one thing that's eluding me, one thing that I need to hear.... I gotta say, I need more cowbell!

Ha-ha :D I agree - there´s no such thing as to much cowbell! This one was however recorded along with the drum kit and having it loud in the mix really messed up the overall drum-mix. Glad to hear you liked the track

It screwed up the mix, huh?! Damn. Was it a total bitch to even out w/the OH mics?

Yes. The ambience that the cowbell mic added to the other drums was very ugly. I tried to gate it but when i boosted it it sounded all to dry and unnatural and wouldn`t sit in the mix since the gate envelope was very easy to hear. Should have recorded it separately with a condenser-mic some 30-40 cm away. But then again: i`m a DIY-musician and a seasoned mixing-pro would probably have found a working solution.
