I have emailed Diezel many times on this question with no returns, would Diezel come out with a single channel amp that would achieve the van halen 1 sound, many guitarist are looking for that type of amp,and im sure Peter can achieve this.

Sorry Nitro, I never got an email concerning
a single channel amp and couldn´t reply.

Is there a need ?

Peter would you consider coming out with a single channel amp that would achieve the van halen 1(first album sound)many guitarist are looking for that especially the first album sound, there are alot of guitar players who like channel amps vs. multiple channel amps Im one of them, there are amp modders who come close to the van halen sound but they are more van halen II sounding then van halen 1 sounding if you know what I mean.....Thanks for your time........

I'd love a Hot rodded Plexi type amp from Diezel as well! That would be great!

Why not try the Diezel Schmidt or Einstein? I'm sure they are capable of getting close to that kind of tone with ease and give you much more.

Single channel of channel 2+ of the Herbert or channel 3 of VH4 would be awesome.

Haven't tried a Schmidt, do own an Einstein, its not even close to the VH tone...

Don't get me wrong, I loooooove my einstein, but its a completely different amp... And I myself am looking for a single channel modded Plexi brown sound type of amp...

Peter where are you can you answer this.........

Please try to understand that I´m very busy and can
not sit in front of the computer all day long ;)

I think there are a lot of amps which trys to nail
the early van Halen sound. I don´t know if we need
another one. Please don´t forget that 90% of this
tone was coming and is coming from Eddies fingers.

Peace

In my opinion, you can get quite close to a VHish sound from the Schmidt's CH2...

just a dumb question... does the "vh" from "vh4" stand for "van halen"?

am i getting this right? you demand for an amp with one channel from another amp that already exists? what is the use of this? buy the existing amp, throw away any footswitch and play the channel... :m17:

or am i beeing too blunt/naiv/whatever?

I presume I could buy just the channel I want and not have to spend near as much. ;)

Nitro, I'm not trying to be a know it all, or answer for Peter, but I think he is more creative when it comes to amp designs and likes to push the envelope a little more. Since you already have a Diezel, you should look into amps by Dave Friedman, Granger, Fortin (Bones), Bray, Metro, Ceriatone, or keep an eye out for an old Diezel modded Marshall. (If he did any single channel plexi/JTM45 style)

Its really like peter said. But in case your playing style is already similar to eddies, then the next thing you'd need is the right amp.

BUT: You can never achieve the sound of a record on a live-amp!!
maybe you can get close with some of the digital modeling devices out there, because these mostly capture the sound of an already recorded amp.
