i've had my VH2 for about 9 months and i've only used it in the studio. It blew the mains fuse when i took it off standby 3 days ago. Dead of course. Next day i took a shot and replaced the fuse....turned it on and heard a slight hum so i turned it off. Waited 5 minutes and tried again....Worked and sounded great....Played for about an hour. Next day i used it for about an hour and it worked great. Later that day when i took it off standyby it blew the fuse again. I checked out the tubes and found one that was not quite seated all the way and had what looks like a burnt spot at the base. See pic. i don't know too much about amps....Bad tube? other problem? Take to a tech(1 1/2 hour drive away)?? It should still be under warranty and i've contacted Thommans (not enough time for response).
