Hello

I was looking in to biting the bullet and purchasing a Diezel VH2 by the end of the year and was wondering what peoples thoughts are on tubes?

Whats opinion on the VH2 KT77s and has anyone changed for EL34s?

is it similar to the VH4 in that regard?

Thanks

I can't comment on the VH2, but I just swapped some JJ EL34s with some JJ KT77s in my Einstein and they are KILLER. Generally speaking, the JJ EL34s have a little more emphasis on the midrange and are more compressed. The KT77s are a little more open and balanced. Both would probably sound sublime in a VH2.

Maybe this is the correct place to ask. I'm new to the tube world, and trying to figure out what type of preamp tubes i need for my Diezel VH2. After doing some digging online, it sounds like I am needing the Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+ for my V1 and V2 positions. And I'm thinking the Shuguang 12AX7B for V3 - V5. Does this sound right?

I have JJ KT77 for power tubes.

Thanks!
