I want to try some KT77s in my VH4S instead of the stock EL34s.
In the VH4S, how are the output tubes arranged?
Are the inner tubes for the left channel and the outer tubes for the right channel?
Or are the two tubes on the left for the left channel and the other two tubes on the right for the right channel?

Thanks

And although we all KNOW and RESPECT the reasoning behind Herr Peter's choice of tubes for the VH4(S), please DO let us know what you think about the 77's. Are you going with Gold Lion?? Do tell... And also let us know what you're biasing them at.

I've had no reason to go with 77's in mine, I love my 6550's - period. But I do have another heavy hittin' amp that I'm thinking about throwing down for a quad of Gold Lion 77's.

Peace,
V.

When using the VH4S, how does the 6550 sound in comparison to the Winged C EL34?

I will be trying the following tubes in the VH4S later this week:
- JJ KT77
- Tung Sol 6L6 STR New Production
- SED 6L6GC
I will post results with details.
