Howdy everyone! I have a VHX on the way that I’m super pumped about. Anyway, does anyone have the specs on the internal load and how it might compare to the usual load boxes? I have been using a Suhr RL forever and it would be great to ditch it but if the VHX load is a resistive instead of reactive load I’m concerned about the potential “flatness” as compared to a reactive load.

If any owners want to chime in on how they compare, that would be great as well. Thanks!

I've done it every which way and honestly I prefer the cabless operation with the head as opposed to hooking it up to a load box. You'll have to be the judge, but you can load your own IRs, and the ones shipped with the amp are great.

Edit: I'm not saying it's objectively superior for one reason or another, but the quality of the sounds and simplicity of it all I would rather stick with the stock tools. Just remember not to plug into or unplug from the speaker jack while it's on.

Ok thanks man I appreciate it. Makes sense.
