What are the differences in function and sound between the Ubershall Rev 2 and the Ecstasy 101b? I generally play metal and heavy rock. Is one more suited to the style of music I play?

Easy...Uberschall. 101b can do a lot well but it's looser in the low end and has a smooth midrange/high end. It's a greasy rock machine, the Uber is sort of a Recto with a bit more of a Marshall crunch. Nice swirl to drop tuned power chords, spongy dark-ish tone...elastic feel, not as immediate as some...can sound a bit bloated till it opens up and purrs...Twin Jet is tighter and has a more Marshall like crunch channel with big lows.

The TJ is an absolute beast in the 'heavier' departments of tone.

It's like a nuke when that thing opens up volume wise.

TJ, though the Ecstasy has its own high gain thing going on and can certainly do modern metal (though not really surgical chug, without a boost).
