Different sounds from my herbert

Hi, there!
I have had my Herbert for about four years now, but I ain't that good when it comes to adjust the EQ and that kind of stuff.
Have any of you guys any tip for the heavy kind of classic metal-sound, like Iron Maiden, Dokken and those kind of bands?

Which EQ settings do you use on the clean channel to get the "most" out of it? I'm looking for a warm sound.

Perhaps I'm asking dumb questions, but I've always been a "plug and play"guy, and I never really learned to adjust EQ etc.

Try channel 2, all eq knobs at 12 o'clock...
Kick in the + switch, start adding in gain from there. I seem to be using the mid cut/pres/depth to tailor in my sound rather than the EQ controls... I don't know, they just sound best at 12...

Or use the same settings as above, but use the - position, and throw an overdrive in front of the amp... Kinda like how those bands you mention used to do it...

In the end it will all depend on your setup though...

As for clean, I have never even tried messing with it yet, so i can't help you there...
