Dimarzio Tone Zone- Found one!

so this tread relates to our last thread about adding beef to an alder body guitar.....tonezone is a good option, but also look at an airzone or a dimarzio super 3. The super 3 is heavy as hell but also is great when you turn to volume on the guitar down to get great hard rock tones

Can you compare the TZ to the Super 3? Being ceramic, does the S3 have more sizzle and less sag? I typically lean alnico for the warmth and extra give. I do like that the S3 is very hot though. Heat brings saturation and thickness.

Can you compare the TZ to the Super 3? Being ceramic, does the S3 have more sizzle and less sag? I typically lean alnico for the warmth and extra give. I do like that the S3 is very hot though. Heat brings saturation and thickness.

I just picked up a Seymour Duncan 59/Custom Hybrid for my Tom Anderson Basswood body, Maple top neck and fretboard. It sounds excellent. It ranges in the 11k, not super hot but has plenty. You might want to check it out.
