Hi guys ! Greeting from Canada !

It's been a couple years I heard about the Diezel amps, and I had the chance to try both the VH4 and the Herbert here in Montreal, where it's the only place I heard you can try a Diezel amp in Canada.

Like most of the people here did, I fell in love with this amp. As everybody knows this amp is not cheap. In store, the demos is about 4200 $CAN if I'm right, on the Canadian distributor website, where this shop got their amps, they list the Herbert at 5000$, so 5750 $CAN with the taxes that means:

- 4,729.72 USD
OR
- 3,354.23 EUR (got from xe.com)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thinks it's a little overprice compare to other country.

I know people from Germany that could buy one for me and then ship it to Canada. I've look on the Diezel website, but couldn't found any shop/distributor or other in Germany.

So to resume this post:
- Is that right to say that I'll get the best price buying it from Germany ?
- In germany can you buy it directly from the "shop" or you got to go to a store to buy one?
- What is the retail price in Germany ?
- Is that possible to buy a "American power ready" (sorry, I don't know the real term) in Europe, or you need to mod it ?

P.S. I'm quite use to forums, and I know that people usually like the new guy to try the search before posting but I've found nothing

P.P.S. English is not my first language, I did my best to have my best writing.

Thank you very much !

hi!

the Herbert sells in Germany for EUR 3000,- in the stores at the moment. so, if you add shipping costs (plus insurance) you are already on the normal sales price. if you then add import fees/taxes and customs its getting more expensive than if you would buy it from the nearest store.

I agree, I also live in Canada. You might save some money buying it in Europe,
but shipping costs and it being in Euro's would be about the same. 3000 euro's
at the exchange rate at 1.73 is actually over 5000 bucks then shipping. So you
might save a 100 bucks. and also I think Europe power is different from North America
power so you wouls also need a conversion box for that. I would call Andy at diffusion audio
he is great guy and his customer service is awsome. I was lucky I got my herbert before all this
stock market stuff went down so i got it for under 5000 here in Canada brand new.

Salut,
Yeah, customs will be more expensive than ordering one... Just try to find one used on theBay or something... otherwise, save your money. it's worth it.

I sent you a PM also

-Stef
