haha...reminds me of Eddie Murphy doing "Buckwheat sings the classics"

Like Godsmack, Disturbed is one of those bands that when blasted loudly from a car stereo, has the complete opposite image effect than intended.

At no time or place do you look cool blasting Godsmack at a red light in your truck.

Well fucking said! I quit a band for wanting to cover a Disturbed song.

Holy Hell.......
:hys: :hys: :hys: :hys:
That was pretty much SPOT ON!!! :rawk: \:D/ :rawk:

It's just kinda sad they're so popular with our men and women in uniform. If I was getting ready to go peel some turbans I'd be listening to Decapitated or Vader. Not WWE theme music.

Lol

My first job at 16 was working at a heavy metal record store, my boss had a band in the 80's with the name Disturbed. I don't know the whole story, but he entered into a legal battle with the numetal band. Not sure on what the outcome was, besides the fact the the numetal Disturbed is still using the name. I don't think that you can copyright a band name. I do prefer his Disturbed though

Now that you mention it, Spheres Of Madness does kinda sound like a detuned and demented Liberate...

Different strokes for different folks. Many people can't stomach death vocals the same as some can't take Draiman's repetitive crap.

The sad part is, the majority of the rock bands we have today will never write a song in their entire careers as good as any you might randomly pick from a Disturbed album. It's just that bad. 99% of people who bitch about no one buying CD's don't have more than one or two songs worth pooping on in an album. They might be technical, burning through 9 million notes per second or can scream like Lucifer but their songs only appeal to other musicians.

Few people are born with the ability to consistently write rock and roll that touches the masses...The rest are just wannabes or hipsters that die as talented and broke virgins.

One album started off like this...OH AH AH AH AH. Then the next album started...AH AH AH OHHH. They really mixed it up there didn't they?

Truth. Disturbed are atrocious.

Dan Donegan deserves props though. He's a cool guy & he rips.

My band does Down With the Sickness and it's among the top crowd favorites every time.

I don't get how people love their Ratt & Dokken type bands but have a seething reaction to NuMetal
They all have a couple good tunes and a lot of forgettable material

i believe disturbed started the Mall metal trend and kind of ended the nu metal trend.

Godsmack right along there with them.

Then came 3 days grace.

and the worst fucking one of all IMHO....

Hellyeah.....

hell no. what FUCKING GARBAGE.

5finger death punch is up there for me to songwise, but that one guitar player seems pretty cool...he did a video interview with trace from voodoo amps and seemed cool enough.

Yeah, I like Dan's playing and tone. He has some really good leads too. Not crazy shredder good but some of his leads are "hum-along" good and memorable.

The vocals are pretty ridiculous when he does the monkey sounds.
