Do Egnater test their amps too quickly?

Let me explain...

I was recently praising Egnater at my local guitar shop (They won't get Eggies in for some reason), saying that they have pretty much 1 guy doing all the testing and he sometimes does a couple hundred a day (I remember the tester guy saying he did a few hundred Rebels).

So the guys in the shop tell me "A couple hundred a day, that's thorough *sarcasm*"

So I thought to myself, 'Would Egnater benefit from having another guy or 2 to test the amps?'

I could be totally wrong, they might already have a few guys doing it, I dunno.... I mean, I've had NO problems with my Rebel, and I don't know anyone who has... but the guys in the shop made a good point.

So maybe the tester guy (Sorry, don't know your name!) can confirm how long he spends on each amp roughly? :D

Thanks! :D

EDIT - also got me thinking about Blackstar, they rushed their HT-5s out last Xmas, didn't think to test the gain channel very much, turns out they had to repair a few thousand, mind included!

I think the statement of "one guys test them all" is incorrect. We have a team anywhere from 4 to 8 guys that is led by John that does the testing.

I figured so :)

The guy that posts here made a post saying he tested a few hundred that day, maybe I read it wrong, or should have taken it as "we" :)

Since the Rebel is in the Guitar Center line of amps, and Guitar Center is a national chain of stores, I think it would be highly unrealistic to think that all of those amps pass through one guy. This is what would be referred to as a "bottleneck" and would just be plain silly. Tell the guys at your local shop to get their heads out of their asses.

For the record, in 1998-ish when I went to a Peavey Dealer Seminar in
Meridian, MS, we were taking a tour of the amp factory and saw a kid
(no older than 21) in a tiny little room just jamming away.

A few of us opened the door and asked what he was doing - he was
the amp tester. All day, everyday, that's all he did.

I honestly don't know how many testers Peavey had/has, but he was
the only one in the warehouse that day.

Herbie, is your avatar Jonathan Davis?

  It's me.

I've been said I look like a lot of people from Jonathan Davis to John Lennon to Johnny Depp.

All Johns then.
