Do I need to go back to 250k?

Thinking I want to reinstall my Lollar ‘52 back into my tele bridge.

The Fralin 43 (P90) I installed required me to change the pots to 500k.

Going back to the single, do I also need to return back to 250k pots?
Is it alright to keep the 500’s?

The 500k will be really bright and can be brittle with singles. The 250k adds the warmth a lot of singles need.

You could always try it and see though. Won't hurt.

Yeah I think I’m just being lazy.
I have 250’s.

Do you think the cap values will be different to get that quack tone in the third position? Or do you think I can keep it wired as is and just change pot value and pup?
1st position is wide open
Middle is with tone and volume
3rd position is that cocked wah tone

I can't speak on the cap values myself to tbh but the pots make a notable audible difference and I do tend to prefer 250 w the standard singles.

Yeah, I certainly would switch back to 250.

The 500 with the single is going to sound like icepicks, which defeats the purpose of a tele
