Do you guys prefer the JVM or DSL?

I think JVM OD1 orange mode is about the most usable tone and has plenty of gain. Boost to taste.

I had a TSL....it was meh....
Had a modded Vintage Modern as well....the modern tone to me was horrible...
the Vintage side sounded really nice.
THis clip of the DSL sounds pretty damn sweet to me!

The JVM is the best multi channel Marshall out right now. The secret to getting them to sound good is to turn the resonance and presence all the way off and keep the gain under noon. Run into a stock Marshall cab with g12 T75's and you are rocking.

I scored a DSL 100 dirt cheap. I got it for a wet amp and to get a decent Marshall crunch. Tossed some new glass in it and it rocks. With an OCD in front it rips! parametric in the loop tweaks it just right.

It is a dirt cheap amp that sounds good. For heavy grind I never use the deep button, and boost it.

I have played a VM. Better stock amp at 2 to 3 times the price. Once you boost it and put your fav tubes in, not sure how much diff it would make to me personally.

It isn't a perfect amp, but it does a lot of things well and it gives a great rocking Marshall tone on the cheap.

JVM for me. Great amp most versitile non moded Marshall out there...IMHO...

JVM. I've had the DSL100 and DSL50. They were NOT bad amps, but my JVM has a lot more juice even at low volume. The DSL needs a boost to get near the JVM if that's your thing.

My other guitar player has been using a JVM the last few get together's and I have to say it sound pretty damn good for the modern rock stuff we play, Me on my Diezel Herbert and him on the JVM sounds pretty fucking huge.....I dig it more than the Recto he was playing before FWIW

JVM. Tighter, no need for a boost whatsoever, 2 fx loops.

had dsl, tsl,, jvm rules the roost! brutal yet sophisticated...

JVM all the way. Never owned one, but have played them long enough to like them.

JVM, two reasons. Tone and features.

Footswitchable master volume is a godsend.

Tone is definitely better for heavier sounds.

i never heard a good thing about tsl's on here, but i have a real special one.......most ive heard have sucked but i will never part wiyh mine.............i only like my herbert better...

i'd vote for the JVM, more flexible

but there is a brand new version of the DSL out i'll add but not many demos just yet

Isn't the new DSL outsourced to like China or Vietnam or something?

Also, do you guys prefer the 2 or 4 channel JVM? I've never played them side by side, but loved my old 210.
