Because Yngwie always made sure his dods are tight. Who am I kidding, as a yngwie fanboy i should just get his mxr pedal lol. The minute I play a strat and step on anything dod, I shred ( sloppily)

my favorite circuit, simple and natural tone, have a byoc thats my favorite and i have 2 dod yjm and 1 fender ym, i only want to try a 250 circuit with an output buffer and a socket to try different chips, not interested in the mxr, it cut more bass than the dod

The MXR has a really nice balanced tone and the gain is really good. but that 250 looks really cool actually!

I actually like the bass cut for my humbuckers.. my DOD YJM is a grey spec mod but with a tighter cap for bass response and it kicks ass. Put it up against anything in terms of sounding and feeling like an extension of whatever amp it is boosting. Sort of got me in to the "grey spec" craze. The good grey Dods are in fact doing something really special. But a bit like Plexis, apparently a lot of the early DODs varied in part values. Whatever they had on the table I guess. Psychodave has quite a few of them if memory serves me correctly. Compare YJM throughout the eras and he sounded better with the less gainy grey boxes that he sometimes boosted with a line booster.

How many more ways can they milk this stupid thing ?😂
