I got my Herbert in on Thursday and I have the Midcut engaged on Channel 2+ with the level/intensity set at 3:00 and my fucking god does it sound amazing for modern metal!!! I've yet to find a setting I like even close to this on any Channel.....I'm still searching for some great tones out of the Herbert without the midcut engaged......but, nothing as of yet.

Anybody got any cabinet suggestion for me? I keep thinking the Diezel front loaded V30 would be best?

It probably would be. I use an Engl 4x12 slanted w/ V30's.

There's a list somewhere around here where we all posted our settings.

Yeah I do, but then again I don't play in a band so I'm not worried about being drowned out by the bass, the bassdrums and the cymbals. :)

What´s your MV setting?

Crank your Herby up and you need no Midcut.

I use it sparingly and never set the Intensity above 10:00. I get drowned out of the mix any higher. I have my Herbert set up to use as 4 channels, with my 4-channel pedal. Button 1 is channel 1 w/no mid cut (clean). Button 2 is channel 2 w/no mid cut (Marshall type sound), Button 3 is channel 3 w/no mid-cut (Hot rodded Marshall type sound), Button 4 is channel 3 w/mid cut (Recto modern type sound). I use Marshall and Recto to explain the flavor of the channels, but the sound is strictly Diezel! It's great to have 4 different tones on stage. One tip, is that I had to switch all of my higher output pickups out for low ones. All my guitars pickups are between 7 and 9.8K. The Herbert loves them. Lets me turn up the gain without mud. The way I look at it is that I paid a lot of money for the Herbert gain/tone, and I want to get my money's worth. I swear, my tone can put you in a trance!

I run my master upwards of 11:00 and the Channel Volume around 10:00. I play in a small room when I practice with my band.
