Hey guys, I know Kerry Wright makes a small 4x12 (but probably costs LOADS of money and has a waiting list, so not for me) . . and I remember Carvin and Ampeg having smaller ones years ago , but does anyone know of any nice SMALLER 4x12's that are available these days? I have loads of speakers so prefer unloaded .

I have an early 90's Engl 4x12 and a 70's Marshall 4x12, but they're too much for my gigs so I just use 2x12's for everything. I've love it if someone made a cool mini 4x12though! Anyone? Thanks

Eric

smallest one i found was a SOLDANO 4x12.....front loaded......sounds friggn awesome....but u do loose some of the Big Box sound shrinking size but not that much to be worried about

Jet city makes one to Soldano specs...28x28x14 I think

Thanks guys .. . Let me look at the Soldano/Jet City ones. . Jason , that's the issue. .The Mad Professor /Bruno/Kerry Wright are all so expensive and rare. . I don't know why Kress, or Mojo or someone doesn't make a mini 4x12. . To me they're be a HUUUUUUGE Demand for a good priced much smaller 4x12.

I'm sure there's a reason all the 4x12's are a similar size, but if guys like Kerry Wright or Mad Professor are making small ones, there's a secret that the masses don't know! Anyway , I'm happy gigging with my 2x12's.. I've done it for years now , but was just thinking about a cool way to use all my extra speakers I have kicking around! Eric

Avatar Traditional is a pretty small front load, could chose tolex and grill colors andmaybe get unloaded. They're 29x28.5x12.

Cool thanks man.. My Engl is 29 x29 and my mid 70's Marshall 29.5 x 29 , so that Avatar isn't small enough. I LOVE my 2 4x12's but just with having to carry lots of PA stuff , some lighting and my guitar rig, I want a small 4x12!

YEa, the small part on the avatar is the depth. Seems like Budda makes a small cab?

I had the Buddha 4x12. It's a nice, tight cab. Build quality was really, really good as I remember.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I knew there had to be some smaller ones available. Tone Tubby also has a 26x26 listed. . I'm going to try to find some 'in stock ' cheaper unloaded one, and shop around ,as I have lots of speakers just sitting here and all my other cabs are full! THANKS

What about WhiteBox?

Just checked out their site and their stuff looks great but there's is listed at 28.6 x 28.6 . I'm already set for the normal sized 4x12's as I have 2 killer ones!

What about a 4x10 cab even smaller and lighter.

Smart man! That's the ONLY type cab I don't have at home . I like the sound of 4x10's too.. I actually have a means to my madness though , the reason I'm thinking I"d like a smaller 4x12 is I have a lot of extra rawframe speakers at home and no cabs to put them in . I've experimented with speakers FOR YEARS and need a home for 4 of these guys.

I really don't have any extra 10's though , and want to use some of my 12's so that's why .

However, your idea is a very good one , and I could surely change my line of thinking and sell some of these extra 12's and go for the 4x10. .hmmmm

Check with lopoline they do custom cabinets to your dimensions. They also have vertical 2x12's and a diagonal 2x12 that's 24x24x14. Never used a lopoline cab but hear positive things about them. maybe a bigger 2x12 might be another way to go plus you have the speakers.

Thanks, I'm all set with 2x12' s and have at least 5 of them. They don't make them any bigger than the Bogner! All I want is a 4x12 that's small .Thanks! Eric
