I just ordered an Egnater 2X12 cab and getting ready to order the Renegade to go with it.

So I was wondering if anyone puts their Egnater 2X12 cab on a stand or on some crates or SOMETHING to get if off the ground and more direct towards you (if this question makes any sense).

Perhaps one doesn't WANT it too. I just remember the Lionheart cab had a tilt back bar under it to angle it up and didn't know what some of you veterans out their do with your Egnater gear.

Pics would help as well!

I put mine on its road case. Makes all the difference for gigs, especially when the monitors are weak.

No. I found I did not need one. With the Egnater TM 212 (which is an awesome cab as is the USA made Mojo cab) I find it is best to open the middle strip of the back. Makes the cab sound bigger and you can hear it better. A stand is one more thing to carry to a gig, so i never bother. One of my cabs, the Randall NXT has a slight slant to the front baffle which is great live! It really projects upward! Avatar makes the Vintage 212 this was as well.

I use the On-Stage Stands RS7000 when I want to tilt the 2x12 cab back. Works nicely.

Depends, but, generally speaking, anything smaller than a 4x12 I try to get higher - I usually put it on a (non-resonant) road case. Open back cabs tend to disburse more, so height of cab has less acute impact for open backs than for a more focused closed-back cab.

Do you put the head on top of the cab when using the RS7000? Are you using the Renegade head?

Thanks

No, I keep my Renegade head with my FX rack.

I never need to put the oversized Eggie 2x12 on a stand. It projects fine from the ground.

I'd put my 2x12 on top of my head's roadcase back in the day, which was kinda cool. Definitely made YOU, the player, hear your tone better...

+1!!!

Having the strip in the back removed HELPS! With my Eganter I have no need, I have the top of the back off and the front baffle has a slight tilt.

So did you tilt it slightly or are you saying that there is a slight tilt to the 2X12 NATURALLY so that the speakers are pointed slightly up even when the cab is flat on the ground?

I have the same stand mentioned in this thread, but have never used it with my 212x.

You know... I'm going to try and open the back up. I always use it sealed, but I'm wanting to try something different. -D
