Does Bogner normally scratch the values off caps?

My friend and I were looking at some minor mods for my Uberschall (Rev. 2) prior to paying to send it out to get a full re-work done (it sounds super fizzy these days). It looks as though someone was in there before us because the values were scratched off the caps and there were a few oddball things done inside. Is that normally done at Bogner? Just curious. I knew that it had been modded for KT88's before I got it but that is a simple resistor mod... I have pics but I did not want to make anyone mad if I posted gut shots of the amp...

My old revision 2 didn't have scratched caps, and I had the chassis pulled quite often as well.

PM me the gut shot? I would hope this sub forum isn't like the Splawn board where they censor gut shots, imo it's a futile effort to try to control gut shot pics imo.

The (other) Bogner forum has tons of gut shot pics, lol.

I would prefer to email them if that is possible...

I spoke to Bogner. They said the early Uber's were a "science project" and they did remove values from caps.

I wouldn't think they'd tell you that. Interesting.

Doesn't surprise me, as Reinhold looks, acts, and dresses like a mad scientist.
