Don't use a Diezel when guitar-hunting

Was in GC the other day looking for a cheap bolt-on for travel. They had a Diezel Einy head in the boutique room, so plugged everything I tried into it, cause I got one at home. Every damn POS guitar I tried sounded great. Made it very difficult to decide on something, finally settled on a Ibanez GAX70 cause it had a phenomenal neck for $200, and then the salesguy gave me another 10% off, guess he thot I was playing hard-to-get :D . Put a couple duncans in it, now the Gibbys are collecting dust. And it sounds so sweet thru the Diezel, of course. Peter, you are a genius!

I never had an amp before where every note sounds good, even if its off-key. Jeez, talk about tone!

However, while (almost) all guitars sound great through the Einy, my Gibi LP with '57s sounds amazingly, heavenly, out of this earth and did I mention simply amazing :)

p.s. I can't simply pass by a Diezel praise thread :)

Hmmm, I've been dying to pick up an Ernie Ball Music Man ever since I played it. Thought it sounded amazing. I keep forgetting I was playing it through a VH4. Might have to go try it through a crate or something.

well I guess it really doesn't matter if I test a guitar with a Diezel specially since I'll be playing it through a Diezel!

but anyways, to me what REALLY matters about a guitar is the playability most than anything, pickups can be swapped. I look for the the feel of the guitar more than anything.

Mincy, is that a Burny in your avatar?

My guitarplayer just bought the same color a month ago.

Nope, it's a Gibson. An '80 odd-ball custom les paul.
