Well used that is.
Man this thing is biased hot. It just roars. Vh4 biased at 50 with Phillips new old stock 7581a's very burly gainy sounding. What also surprised me, is how I love how CH 2 has so much thump and low end chug but not as much gain. But with this Bias and Tubes, with the gain all the way up on ch 2 I just reach my commonly used Rhythm tone, but it thumps now. Very pleased. So one for recording and one for jamming space and gigs soon. Before it even comes up, yes i tried the herbert, ENGL SE EL 34 version (fordy has it now), PB, Boogie heads, Boogie TA and 2:90 and others, but I always compared them to the Vh4S and that is guess is just my sound I like for myself and band. First started with a VH4 in 2006 early, then a Vh4S in 2007, now both. :rollin:rollin. Plus I really looooove the flexibility of having 6 FX loops, one for each channel, and 1 serial and 1 parallel. Maybe when I get back from my sales meeting I will compare mic'd clips of it to the Vh4S with Ruby BSTR's
