I recently aquired a guitar that had a Duncan JBJ in the bridge and JNJ in the neck. I am assuming it stands for JB for the bridge, but what is the extra J for? And what is the JNJ?

They are both full size humbuckers. The guitar is a 1975 Ibanez Les Paul.

I had an original Duncan Distortion which was labelled DDJ, which i believe DD stands for Duncan Distortion and the J i think is the initial of the name of the guy who wound it.

I think thats correct, but someone else may know for sure.

the J stands for MJ. Considered one of Seymours best winders. He took her with him when he lost the company to his wife. She now makes the antiquities...

Very interesting! Thanks Dave
