E2 Question

Can the E2 be used as a stand-alone preamp, or does it have to be slaved to an M4 or MOD50??

Looking for a small portable rig (my M4 + VHT 2/50/2 is too bloody heavy!!, but E2 with a Boogie 20/20 would rock....)

I believe this question was answered in the past and the answer was yes
