Here’s a photo that Wolfgang Van Halen posted on his Instagram page of Eddie Van Halen’s Shark guitar present day the bridge pickup is definitely a mighty mite pickup but the big question would be is it the Mighty Mite 1300 or the Mighty Mite 1400. That pickup has been
in that guitar since 1978. The black neck
Pickup is a Dimarzio(probably a dimarzio super 2 pickup)because you can tell by the bobbin holes, mighty mite pickups didn’t have bobbin holes.

Wolf posted that pic 10 years ago but I would assume it’s still in that condition

Ed borrowed that Ibanez that wasn't his and then chopped it up.
He later said it was ruined it after that.
What a guy.
DNW ive moved on from Ed.

Ive only ever heard of one bro.
Never ceases to me the lengths some people go to [to] copycat in great detail Ed tone.
Any 60's / 70's JMP w/a basic boost pedal will get you VH tone, ANY VH tone.
Not to mention Ed's endorsements were mass produce on the cheap for the masses.
Plus he treated his gear like total shit.

Not Chris Holmes destroyer some guy in California has a van halen museum and he also does amp/guitar work has Chris Holmes destroyer in his shop it was painted red but it’s still intact it wasnt cut up,here’s a pic of it at his shop.

The pickup that’s in Chris Holmes destroyer looks like a stock Ibanez super 70 pickup.

Ive had 2 70's Japan Greco LP's. The one on the rt had the Japan Maxon pups which Ibanez was using. They use an A8 magnet.
Very unique pickups and expensive now.
