You should hear Leslie West and Mountain without EVH making a mess of Classic tune.
VH couldn’t jam for shit.
 
I've got Mountain Climbing on a disc that I break out from time to time and the original studio recordings of 'Never in My Life' and 'Mississippi Queen' are pure magic.

'While the rest of them dudes was a gettin' their kicks, buddy beg your pardon I was gettin mine!' Puts a smile on my face every time.

Nothing wrong with that. Some guys are like that. Vai is another. Genius with their own material, jamming not so much
 
That was cool but a rough watch. This was during his divorced HEAVY drinking days. He was playing like shit throughout that whole era. It was a sad time for him and us fans.
 
Ed pooped on that pretty good. It's weird watching Guitar God's stink it up. It's almost uncomfortable watching someone experience the tough times of life when all you've ever been fed is amazing highlights of genius riffing.
