Edit: Sold out! Musicians Friend: Mesa Badlander 1x12 combo $1299

I'd betcha they had a couple of demos and that was it. It said 'sold out' this morning when I checked. I like Vonbonfire's post above about something being reasonably priced in 2025. Amps are way overpriced now and have been for awhile. I"m not lucky I'm old in many ways, but I'm damn lucky I got 99% of my gear when things were much more reasonably priced. I hope someone here (or more than 1 of you) was able to buy it

The mark up on amps must be ridiculous
Did you see the article quoting the dude from Marsh (iirc) amps that stated he foresees his amps being marked up by $1000+ on average due to the tariffs even though his actual increase in cost to his distributors and retailers will only be a modest ~$300 on average. All the rest of the increased costs would be added profit to distributors looking to pile on the added consumer cost while blaming the tariffs for the drastic price increase.

Tldr: Yep, you are 100% correct sir.

They did this with the Jubilee and matching 4x12 a short while ago.. I'm still kicking myself for not getting it. I saw the Badlander as soon as it went on sale but wasn't interested in it.

yeah saw that yesterday. its lasted less than a hour
I posted SDOTD on TGP and it was gone within minutes

Same as most products 50%. It's all over the place. There is so many variables. Some are only 15%.
Yeah, Boogie, at least back in the past, are a C Mark, so cost is about 70% of what they’re listed at. When I was seeking Recto’s for 1299 in the later 90’s, cost was in the high 900’s. Typical, non boutique stuff, is an A mark where cost is 50% of list price. But usually even a little less if you got an extra 10% with ordering enough. We would get that deal on Marshall, most of the time.
I don’t know if they use the same model now but GC used to have a central buying dept. and the stores are actually buying their inventory from them with a slight markup in cost. So a little straight off the top profit would be built into the store acquiring inventory.
